Zcharakusa Glacier Trek 2023
Ideal trek for young school children and aged trekkers.
The Charakusa glacier is the most easterly of the five glacier systems, which radiate the northern end of the Hushe valley. Not without justification this area has been the Chomanix of the Karakoram.
This trek is ideally suited to those who like to walk right into the heart of the unspoiled Karakoram. It is not very difficult or strenuous and most of the campsites have shady trees, lush green vegetation and wild flowers with a great chance of observing wild life species. A number of un-attempted peaks are there waiting for any challenge. The Cobra peak is one of the most challenging peaks to trekkers in the Karakoram.
This trek offers great opportunities for the young school children and aged trekkers.

| 2. | Fly to Skardu and then take the 2 hour journey by jeep via the Indus and Shyok valleys to Khaplu. Karakoram Lodge Khaplu Hotel. (2,600 m 8530 ft) |
| 3. | Drive to Hushe Village. Camp. (2,750 m 9022 ft.) |
| 4. | Trek to Saitcho at the junction of the Charakusa and Gondogoro Valleys. Camp. (3,400m 11,150 ft) |
